Ricky Burdett

Professor of Urban Studies at the London School of Economics, and director of the Urban Age and LSE Cities programmes. He was the Director of the 2006 International Venice Biennale of Architecture. He was the Director of the Advisory Council for Architecture and Urban Planning at the 2012 London Olympic Games and also Adviser to the Mayor of London for Architecture and Urban Planning from 2001 to 2006. He was the co-editor of the volumes Shaping Cities in an Urban Age (2018), The SAGE Handbook of the 21st Century (2017), Living in the Endless City (2011) and The Endless City (2007).
