The city in the urban age
In this conference, Ricky Burdett, a professor of Urban Studies, reflects on the social and environmental implications of urban-planning decisions. Based on the analysis of some examples of urban transformations from around the world, and the thesis that affirms that urban planners respond to the needs of contemporary cities with old-fashioned solutions, Burdett and the architect Eulalia Gómez Escoda will discuss 'flexible urban planning', which is an urban planning of opportunities, able to adapt to changes and new challenges.
A new model that aspires to make cities more habitable. More human.
