Cultural rights in the city: speaking about inequalities
The problem of inequalities is a major concern In the debate on the present and future of cities. We often speak of inequalities in income, health, housing and education, but very little is said about those existing in the area of culture, in cultural rights. Inequalities in terms of access, practice, participation and production.
Does everyone have access to culture? Can we develop culture with equal opportunities and resources? What are the most significant inequalities in this sense? What are governments and cultural stakeholders doing about it? What can we do to promote the universality of cultural rights?
