The city under discussion. Medellín
Medellín has gone from being one of the most violent cities in the world to being one of the cities with the best quality of life in South America. The improvement of transport systems serving areas characterised by informal constructions, together with a construction programme for buildings and public areas for the most disadvantaged citizens (libraries, social and sports centres, green areas, etc.), have made Colombia's second capital a place of opportunity, in spite of the great social inequalities that still exist.
The second talk in The city under discussion, a dialogue between an architect and a writer who have a profound knowledge of this diverse, changing city.
