Josep Ramoneda
(Cervera, Lleida, 1949)
Journalist, philosopher and writer, a regular columnist in the newspaper El País and commentator on the radio station Cadena Ser, as well as director of several essay collections. He was director of the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB); president of the Institut de la Recherche et de l’Innovation (IRI) of Paris; director of the Institute of Humanities, and lecturer in Contemporary Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Author of a great number of books, he has received awards such as the City of Barcelona Award of International Projection (2012) and the National Culture Award of the Generalitat regional government of Catalonia (2013).
