Democracies Under Control series. Who controls information and the media?
A dialogue dealing with how new technologies and digital platforms have enabled us to obtain more abundant, specific and more alternative information on practically any subject, although we do not know how media corporations, which own the majority of media outlets, are structured, due to their opacity. Who controls the images and use of language that circulate through the media, and how are they managed?
The Ernest Lluch Foundation and Palau Macaya organise a series that analyses questions such as digital-capitalism surveillance, ICT control of democratic participation, (dis)information and cybersecurity under Big Data.
With Milagros Pérez Oliva and Josef Trappel
