City and community
By definition, the city is a place of coexistence among individuals who have very varied origins, interests and objectives. A place for diversity which also safeguards the cohesion of city residents. However, currently, the growing heterogeneousness, the exacerbation of individualism, uncertainty about the future and the stress of surviving have revealed the need for reinforcing community guidelines, for solidarity in neighbourhoods and squares.
Can we talk about community in a city? How can we get local residents more involved in their government? These questions will be answered during this debate.
