Marta Segarra
Professor of French Literature and Gender studies at the University of Barcelona, and research director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique-CNRS in Paris. She is also co-founder of the Cengtre for Women and Literature. Her research is mainly in the fields of French literature, gender and postcolonial studies. Her publications include Teoría de los cuerpos agujereados (Melusina, 2014). In recent years, she has focussed her research on analysing the concept of animality following Jacques Derrida's work and questioning the radical separation between animals and people established by philosophical tradition.
