Gonçalo M. Tavares
(Luanda, 1970)
A Portuguese writer, dramatist and poet. He studied Physics and Art and lectured in Epistemology at the Technical University of Lisbon. He published his first book in 2001. His work, admired by writers such as José Saramago and Enrique Vila-Mata, is considered to be one of the most original in contemporary European literature. With Aprender a Rezar na Era da Técnica (Caminho, 2007), he won the prestigious prize of Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger in France in 2010.
