Bel Olid
(Mataró, 1977)
Writer and translator Since 2015 Olid has been president of the Association of Writers in Catalan (AELC). She is a committed spokesperson for feminism, a movement she promotes through lectures, talks and her book Feminisme de butxaca: kit de supervivència (Angle, 2017). Other notable books are Una terra solitària (Empúries, 2010), winner of the Documenta narrative award, and Vents més salvatges (Empúries, 2016). Her latest book is Ferida, udol, viatge, illa (Edicions Bellaterra, 2017). She also writes for several cultural media, such as Diari Ara, Núvol, Catorze or La Independent.
